Youth ages 6 to 14
Level I (35 minute class)
Tuesday/Thursday 6:45 - 7:20 pm
Saturday 9:00 - 9:35 pm
This class is for children who have little to no swimming experience. Skills taught: water adjustment, back float, and paddle stroke. Skills taught for more advanced: rotary breathing, rudimentary front crawl, back float w/sculling.
Level II (35 minute class)
Tuesday/Thursday 6:00 - 6:35 pm
Saturday 9:45 - 10:20 pm
Prerequisites: swim 25 yards w/rudimentary front crawl and kick on back with sculling. Skills taught: front crawl, sculling, treading and floating.
Level III (35 minute class)
Monday/Wednesday 6:00 - 6:35 pm
Saturday 10:20 - 10:55 pm
Prerequisites: swim 25 yards of coordinated front crawl and back kick with sculling. Skills taught: back crawl, rudimentary breaststroke and diving
Level IV (45 minute class)
Monday/Wednesday 6:45 - 7:30 pm
Saturday 9:00 - 9:45 pm
Prerequisites: swim 50 yards of front crawl, back crawl, and 25 yards of rudimentary breaststroke. Skills taught: elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, butterfly wiggle, and open turns.
Level V (45 minute class)
Monday/Wednesday 6:45 - 7:30 pm
Saturday 10:00 - 10:45 pm
Prerequisites: swim 50 yards of front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, and 25 yards of butterfly wiggle. Skills taught: flip turns, endurance swimming and rudimentary butterfly.
Level VI (45 minute class)
Monday/Wednesday 7:30 - 8:15 pm
Prerequisites: swim 100 yards of front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, and 50 yards of sidestroke and elementary backstroke. Skills taught: competitive starts and turns, butterfly, and individual medley.
